The classification of the passenger bus

The passenger bus has divided into single bus and passenger train depends on the overall structure. Single bus is the basic model. It is often seperate into large, medium, and small according to the total weight of the bus or the number of seats. China stipulates that the length of a single bus should not exceed 13.7 meters. The carriages and frames of a passenger train are divided into two sections. Two frames are connecting with articulated plates, and two carriages are connecting with movable pleat so that the carriages are connected. They are also known as articulated or passageway buses. China stipulates that passenger trains should be no longer than 18 meters.

Depend on the different service ways, the structure of the passenger bus is also different.

It could be a travel bus, city bus, highway passenger bus, railway bus, tourist bus, and school bus and etc. Travel bus is a kind of small passenger bus, the seating capacity can not exceed 17 seats. According to the exterior of the shape, the Chinese call it “Bread bus” normally. Due to the passenger’s frequently on and off of the city bus, the floor of the bus quite low, and with a setting of 2~3 doors, there are standing positions on the bus, so the city bus has enough height and width. Light bus: length from 3.5m to 7m;

Medium-sized passenger bus: length from 7m~10m

Large bus: length from 10m~12m;

Extra larger bus: included articulated passenger bus (length over 12 meters) and double-deck bus (length from 10m ~12m).
