a. In August, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 309,000 and 321,000 respectively.

Both increasing by 1.9 times year-on-year. The production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles have reached 56,000 units, up 1.4 times and 1.7 times respectively year-on-year. The production and sales of fuel cell vehicles were 40 and 38 respectively, down 58.8% and 68.6% year on year.
New energy production and sales continued to set new records this month. From the perspective of subdivided vehicles, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles also set new records. In August, automobile enterprises exported 187,000 vehicles, up 7.5% month-on-month and 1.6 times year-on-year. In terms of models, passenger cars exported 154,000 vehicles this month. An increase of 10.3% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 1.9 times. Export for commercial vehicles was 33,000 vehicles. Down 4.0% from the previous month and up 85.7% from the previous year. This month, the contribution of export growth of new energy vehicles, including all electric minivan was 35.2%.
From January to August, automobile enterprises exported 1.189 million vehicles, up 1.3 times year-on-year. In terms of models, the export for passenger cars was 924,000 units. Up 1.4 times year-on-year. Export for commercial vehicles was 265,000 units, up 99.4% year-on-year.
